About the program
The Jump Start Program allows JT4 to hire individuals, with no prior experience, as entry-level electronic technicians. After enrolling in the CSN ETDCT-AAS program and completing six initial classes, as outlined in “How to Get Your Jump Start” below, participants qualify for an interview with JT4. In addition to completing these six classes with a cumulative 3.0 GPA, participants must be able to obtain a security clearance in order to be considered for employment. Participation in the program does not guarantee employment, and once hired, you must complete the degree program for advancement to higher-level technician positions within the company.
If you are hired as an electronic technician, JT4 may:
- Offer a sign-on bonus to cover the out-of-pocket tuition costs for your initial six classes
- Reimburse you for tuition and books for the remainder of your classes completed with a B or better through JT4’s Employee Educational and Training Assistance Program (EETAP)
- Allow you to attend up to 15 hours of classes per week while you await your clearance (subject to manager approval)
The Jump Start Program has been the keystone to where I am today. Before starting with the program, I had been living paycheck-to-paycheck doing odd jobs. JT4 not only invested in me, but also helped me balance both work and school so I could complete my classes without feeling burnt out. I am now a financially stable electronic technician and look forward to going to work every day.
